Sun-dried lemon peels occur on my skin today,
For the sky sings dust and hailstorm
The segments of abhorrence and sensibilty play a jigsaw game.
For I have inhuman breaths you gave
on that turtle path of stinking array of roses clinging my soul.
I have heard your sorrows, laments to decipher the unknown
Still I am covered in the darkness of your crocodile shadow.

Such a brilliant piece, Devika, and quite apt for me today as I was just thinking about the same thing after reading a very sarcastic comment in my spam folder from some idiot who appears to have some gripe. Your opening lines offer beautiful imagery as is the juxtaposition between abhorrence and sensibility in that jigsaw game. Some pieces simply won’t fit, just like some people will never fit into our lives because they have other motives for befriending us. And those last two lines, are perfectly said. You’ve heard all their crap and they have not fooled you. Hopefully some will get the message! This is awesome poetry, dear poet!!! I love it!

This blogging is messing me a lot!
Thank you though for your generous and beautiful words.

I understand it, Devika. Some people have no respect. These things can get to many of us. Hang in there, my friend because your poetry is a wonderful as the poet herself. You are always welcome!!!

I understood fully,I think I am better now in deciphering your inner depths.Though it is short poem, the meaning and the imagination you give takes out heart to the core of the emotion
