We do it our own way

i can slurp stars out from the sky
garnishing your surreal body,
where my lips stick to your moist words.
A refined way of picking your name.

Coltish your patterns give me jolts, often.
you have mirror- mosaic eye,
one’s that make your body numb.
A piquant chisel touch, maybe.

A lampshade residing beneath our bedsheet,
capturing our love,
observing our total madness.
we decide our own insane galaxy, love

  1. “We decide our own sane galaxy, love.”
    That is a perfect ending…
    And the beginning:
“i can slurp stars out from the sky
    garnishing your surreal body,
where my lips stick to your moist words.”
pulled me in and kept me reading until the end. This is exquisite, Devika.

    1. Hello,

I have seen that you are enjoying reading my poetries for your comments say it all. I am grateful for that.
Now coming to my writing style, so yes my writing is more towards surrealism and it holds oxymoronic tone also. Now each poetry can be understood in many ways and I can’t unfold everything. So it depends upon the reader as to what he connects to.
Thank you for reading once again.

  2. I am in love with your piquant poetry, have always been. This is such a delectable feast for the heart. There is nothing quite like witnessing the birth of a galaxy through sweet sharing of love. As always your imagery and self-image add such beautiful spice to your work. Beautiful!
