A craving

I have a craving tonight
for a slice of sun
or moon- talks, in runs.
to decipher the poultices
hidden beneath and above,
somewhere between your lips
& paradise,i have a craving
for your love
as soft as petals of Petunia
a craving to count you
& your terminals,
your folds of skin.
i have a craving to
melt into you,
with skins kissing.

a craving to burn pan cakes
and smudge the edges against us
like a paper ball dancing,
silhouettes swaying,
to put my mouth on your tongue,
to suck your scars
& to incubate it with my
infinite love.

  1. Aha..love your cravings for metaphor and the love they bring to these eyes.
Love these lines”I have a craving to
    melt into you,
with skins kissing.”. Brilliantly written my sweet poetess.Take your break and come back with pearls.

  3. Sensuality has reached a feverish peak. Lovely poem. It reminds me of Neruda’s sonnet.

I crave your mouth, your voice, your hair.
Silent and starving, I prowl through the streets.
Bread does not nourish me, dawn disrupts me, all day
I hunt for the liquid measure of your steps.

I hunger for your sleek laugh,
your hands the color of a savage harvest,
hunger for the pale stones of your fingernails,
I want to eat your skin like a whole almond.

I want to eat the sunbeam flaring in your lovely body,
the sovereign nose of your arrogant face,
I want to eat the fleeting shade of your lashes,

and I pace around hungry, sniffing the twilight,
hunting for you, for your hot heart,
like a puma in the barrens of Quitratue.

  4. I absolutely love your writing! It really captures the feeling of the poem. I’ve noticed that your pictures are old fashioned and altogether, it’s so perfect:) Keep writing, this is great! I would love if sometime you stopped by my blog and checked out some of my work as well!
