Music of pain

a voice is creating a map inside
breaking my legs, my arms
into the eye of nothingness
i see nothing.
i feel nothing.
my lids are dropping day by day
i considered rescuing poetry,
the pale fonts, tampered words
and it ate me, slurping mouths,
Vermillion floating mirrors,
stuck to my lips
and cracking the pain
on the floor for you to dance,
it’s a pattern.
it kills and kills
obdurate music of pain.
such coldness slipping,
stopping the clock of gods,
speaking or praying.
this coldness is chilling
with a hint of a lone heart.
i die here.

  1. Beautiful as always. I don’t often comment on your posts because they bewilder me, while exhilarating me. I honestly don’t know how you write the way you do, whether concept or word choice. That’s not easy for me to admit, but at the same time, it’s enthralling. I’m not as smart as some of the other folks, who can tear into your poetry so readily, so I don’t feel like i can contribute. I’m resigned to sitting back and enjoying your wonderful words

    1. Oh my! I cannot even begin to show my gratitude now. You know I am truly insane right now, depressed, stressed and what not.
And reading this, it just made me so much better. Thank you immensely for uplifting a single soul. You will be blessed in heaven. Ah!
      So sweet of you really.❤️

  3. Ah, now I can feel it. Music of pain. Poetry is from heart where love resides and music can be made out of it. I read pain as from the music and everything is skilfully depicted with pictures.
It’s in the mesh of poetry and visual that I am enslaved in now

      1. Oh thank you Devika, thank you very much. In fact I was expecting an admonition for being flippant. I was struggling to express. But a connoisseur that you’re can obviously sense the essence.
Reason for me to be extremely proud and happy and obliged 🌹

  4. The way you express pain is just out of the world. How otherwise we would have found beauty in these words which signify suffering? You’re so gifted and truly blessed, D! Smile and take care of yourself. 🤗
    Much love!

      1. I am so glad we have this beautiful connection and I hope it remains until poetry exists in this world and beyond it too. Wishing all the happiness and love to you, dear D! ❤️😘❤️🤗

  5. Hi, I found this poem to be exceptional and it resonated well. I also wanted to ask if I could use a small block if it to end a three part story I am working on… with full credit. Your work is inspirationally uplifting.

      1. Lovely. Thank you very much! I will, if it matters, send you a link when I eventually post the last instalment with your words in it. It is still an idea, but I am hoping to incorporate them! Thanks again.
