I sit beneath this concave moonlit and put my ink on my naked body tonight.
I count the loses and the victories I have had, the outnumbered lips of kisses and the bottles of venom. I draw a map to the moon, I draw stars to my breasts.
I crave the branches of this grapevine romancing with the blueberries.
I crave my frosty lips sucking the zeal out of the chilled beer.
This place, this soft breeze benedicts the wisdom. It teaches about multiplication and deduction. A topology of human indeed is dust. The slick fingers often do not regenerate and the countless stars are only to make your skin sullen and eyes full of baked memories. Winters are the unsaid words from your beautiful carbon mouth. Thousands of Aurora skin glitter around your geometrical waist.
I crave the poetry of your eyes. I crave the potion, religion, purity from your skin. I crave words. I crave flowers dancing on a hillside.
I crave horrendous veracity from your writings.
The world shall seem mystical, where the peacocks might sing the 80’s song. Hilarious gloomy nights often teach you the truth of your life. “Nothing is forever”
I crave the smell of daffodils. I crave the sultry nights of desiccated romance from my veins and the continuous burning smell of my cigars.
I crave wisdom, I crave wilderness.

As I said Devika, your work is both more sensuous and soul-binding.
I note that what you crave is a mix of both the physical and the intellectual, which is good as there is no more powerful aphrodisiac than the mind.
By the time you read this is it will be Thanksgiving here in California, so I would like to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. The message is universal. We all have a great deal within our lives for which to be thankful.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Star Diamond.
Be sure to sparkle.

Wow! Wow! Wow! What a beautiful pouring of emotion. Devika, this is beyond moving. Your opening lines, describing the inking of your body, depicts the impact life has on it. The wins, loses, the kisses and venom, and distance between moon and stars, all represent the experiences you’ve had in life so far. Maybe the stars become a map, a place you wish to find yourself, away from the loses, venom, and toll on the soul. More so, the cravings you begin with and continue on with, throughout this gorgeous piece of poetic prose, really speak to the essence of someone who wants to be loved as she loves – with deep passion, fervor, and the whole self, mind, body, heart and soul. Only a poet’s soul could yearn and crave the soul of another poet. God, what you write here, is powerful enough to bring tears to this poet’s eyes. It’s not just your passion that sings and bares its naked breasts to the world, it is the depth of cravings of mind, body, heart, and soul that desire to be sated. This is quite the emotional ride. Thank you, so much, for making this poet feel enough to shed a tear. That is the sign of great writing!!!! Peace, love, respect and blessings!!!!!!!

This work is really close to me in so many ways. Each word is precious to me and I respect the fact that you took out your time just to perch that. It gives me pleasure when my work is actually felt the same way by a reader the way I feel for it.
You always leave me humbled and all smiles.
And I am sure that tear you got was for asecond or so. And if my words could move you that once again is my honour. You are splendid in your ways and you know that.
This comment is really special to me.
Thankyou so much my poet companion.
Have a great day!🙏

I think all your poetry reflects who you are and how you feel. I think you share some of the deepest words I’ve ever read about how you react to the world around you and so, you work deserves to be read closely and with an open eye. I love that you aren’t afraid to show all parts of yourself and I am humbled that you appreciate my comments. Yes, the tear was temporary but it was real and I am grateful to have connected. You are most welcome, my poetic friend, and I thank you for the good day wishes. Hope your day ahead keeps getting better and better. Peace and respect to you!!!

we crave for the ungiven, the unknown..to know what you crave for is a blessing already. no wonder this piece leaves much space for the reader to interpret what the poet is really craving for, or maybe its just me.

I do agree with all the ideas you have presented on your post. They’re very convincing and will definitely work. Nonetheless, the posts are too short for beginners. May just you please extend them a little from next time? Thanks for the post.
