If

if
skies
can hear
our soft touch

The earth will burn,
flames shall pierce the skins
of stupendous, crisp evening potato

and
I shall
become dandelions,
the vein of your holy blood.

  1. Wow! This is beautiful poetry, Devika and stylistically different than your usual poetic fare. The opening image of hearing touch and becoming dandelions are wonderful images. There is a lot of passion and great depth to these lines. I love this!

    1. I am glad you noticed my writing style was different in this one. I never have written something like this. I generally do free verses but this was a bit challanging. I know you excel at this style and your writing is really enthralling to be honest and so I was looking forward to your opinions about this.
Now that you liked it, I am happy my task paid of.
Thankyou so much for your religious reads,Alex!

      1. You are most welcome, Devika and it’s flawless. I really loved it. You are a true poet, capable of capturing any sentiment, thought, emotion or idea in any form, I am sure. And thank you for saying those beautiful things about my writing. Hope you are having a beautiful day 😊
