Survival

Throwing up the hidden worms
Through the indisposed vent in my stomach,
Or the earth
And up on the mountains,
You see the glint of sunshine
In the memory of awaken butterflies.

  1. so much said
    in so few words
    is true art Devika
    like written
    words that march
    row after row
    down the street
    their rhythm
    leaves little doubt
    of their meaning
    to nodding
    onlookers

  2. Ridding oneself of the hidden turmoil in order to see the light in a beautifully poetic way. I love the comparison of self to the Earth because it seems more relevant today with the world being so sick.
