Transparent Memory

Image result for lust paintings

In the vermilion threads of sunset rays,

aberrant fireflies sparkled the molecules of tiniest grass,

the loops of a feather, imbrication of skin and lip

Aromas meeting raindrops,

the scent coinciding, intruding into the chaos of your numb eye

where the mind shackles see Apricity,

Eyes know the true palpitations,

Obscure stream of water

my lips that hold the shred of you

dilutes into molecules of your transparent memory,

for you are my abstruse, a diamond spark lost imagery.

    1. Thank you Chhaya!
The ending was a a bit tensed though as all my poems are full of passion so I thought of ending this one with a twist.
Thank you for being a lovely reader once again. You are adorable.
      Much love.:)

      1. I usually read posts of anyone who happens to follow or like, I just don’t know how I didn’t stumble upon your site yet! πŸ™‚

  1. I love how you focus this piece on things that are barely visible, giving great depth of understanding to the importance of those little things. To a blade of grass, those firefly sparkles are like fireworks; the remnants of a lover’s kiss, lingering on lips is not noticeable to anyone but the recipient; and the eyes, they capture the essence of all around us and carry it deep into the soul. Each of your small captures is a giant universe on some level. I love your use of ‘Apricity’ (the warmth of the sun on a cold winter’s day) and capitalizing it shows how important it is to release us from those cold shackles of the mind where we are bound by memories, some of which are now abstruse as they meld into the greater picture of life. Reading your work is like putting a single moment beneath the microscope, allowing us to see with clarity what it is you write about and the inner workings of the poet’s mind. Beautiful poetry, Devika!

    1. Oh, my! You must realy love my work that level to leave such a healthy and detailed review Alex.
You deserve all my respect and gratitude for analysing this once again with brevity.

The use of Apricity was my favourite in this work, indeed. There is so much magic in that word itself, I feel.
You know how to devour a writer’s work, and that’s truly a talent.
I really respect your opinions, Always!

      1. I really do, Devika! I look forward to reading you and often have to return to offer my humble commentary because I don’t always have time when I read first. So, I make a mental note to visit your site, every day, to look for the pieces that have moved me.
I love how you said, devour because that is what I do with work that I really enjoy. Each word nourishes the thoughts which eagerly spring to life.
Thank you for the respect and know that the respect is returned in full from this side
